This policy explains what CommentWarden (“we”), operated by FlyReady Lab, collects when you use the service, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your Instagram login: your Instagram professional account’s ID, username and account type, and an access token Meta gives us when you log in. Tokens are stored encrypted.
• If you log in with Facebook instead: your Facebook user ID and name, the Pages and Instagram business accounts you choose (their IDs, names and usernames), and the access tokens Meta gives us for them, stored encrypted.
• Comments on your posts and ads: the comment text, the commenter’s username, the time, and whether it is hidden. We need these to sort comments, hide the ones your rules cover, and show them to you so you can undo or reply.
• Your settings: brand facts, competitor names and rules you enter.
• Usage events: which pages of our site were viewed and which steps were completed, tied to a random ID in a cookie, plus the site that referred you. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
• Billing: payments are processed by our merchant of record, which collects your payment details directly. We receive your plan, subscription status and a customer ID, never your card number.

What we do with it

We use this data only to provide the service: to read new comments, classify them, hide the ones your rules cover, draft replies you can approve, send you reports, and bill you. We do not sell data, and we do not use your comments to advertise to anyone.

Processors

Comment text is sent to Anthropic’s API to classify comments and draft replies. Our servers and database are hosted by our cloud provider. Payments are handled by our merchant of record. Each of them processes data only on our instructions.

Platform data

Data we receive from Meta is used in line with Meta’s Platform Terms. We only request the permissions needed to read, hide and reply to comments on the accounts you select. We cannot read your direct messages, publish posts or change your ads.

Retention

Comments are kept for 12 months so your reports and undo history work, then deleted. When you delete your account in CommentWarden, your tokens, comments and settings are deleted right away. If you remove the app in your Instagram or Facebook settings instead, our access stops at once; ask us by email or through the data deletion page and we delete the rest of your data within 30 days.
